Kwamba

The Bamba are relatively a distinctive group of people of approximately 450,000 speakers living in over 72 villages in Bundibugyo and the (DRC). They freely interact with the neighbouring language groups the Bwisi, Konjo, Butoku, Tuku and Batwa each of which is less in number compared to Amba. They move in around and out the District of Bundibugyo to the East in Kabarole District and in the North and West in the Democratic Republic of Congo for trade and accessing their children to better performing schools in the neighbouring districts of Kabarole, Kasese.

Kwamba translation progress

As of December 2012, the Kwamba translation project has finished 22% of the New Testament.
