Malila menMalila survey. (Mbeya Region, Tanzania)
Working in ten languages simultaneously requires a lot of work and cooperation by a lot of different people. The Mbeya-Iringa Cluster Project is working together with a number of churches and organizations. These include the following:

  • Anglican Church of Tanzania
  • Baptist Convention, Tanzania
  • Free Pentecostal Church of Tanzania
  • Life Ministry
  • Lutheran Church
  • Mbalizi Evangelistic Church
  • Moravian Church
  • Presbyterian Church of Malawi
  • Salvation Army
  • Tanzania Assemblies of God
  • Tanzania Episcopal Conference

The churches involved in the project have recruited people for the various language teams, including a number of their own pastors. They are also responsible for providing wages for the local translators and money for stipends and travel expenses when the team members attend workshops in Mbeya. Several of the churches have provided office space for the teams, including the space currently used for the main office in Mbeya. Life Ministry will be involved in promoting the use of Scripture publications and in producing the Jesus film in the local languages.
