Pray for the Rangi

Written by Administrator

Spring in KondoaSpring in Kondoa (Rangi, Tanzania)
Kondoa District in Tanzania is a difficult place for evangelism. Because of traditional religious practices, a strong world religion, and a very small Christian presence, church growth has been slow or non-existent. It has been difficult to find Rangi to join in the translation and literacy project. We realize our dependency upon God to raise up Rangi people to become involved in the project and to catch the vision for how God’s Word can impact their families, neighbors and communities.

  1. For a second Rangi translator to be found.
  2. A Language Institute has been started in Kondoa Town where people can buy publications in vernacular languages (in Rangi there are booklets of stories, proverbs and riddles), get information on how to join a Rangi literacy class, check out other books. Adelina B is the attendant. Please pray for Adelina with respect to putting Rangi texts into the computer and learning how to produce booklets into Microsoft Publisher.
  3. For Paulo K and Richard C. to work well together and make good progress in translating Scripture into Kirangi.
  4. For Andrew M. and Gervas V., the Rangi who will be continuing literacy and PR work in the Rangi Project.
Ideas in praying for these requests:
  • Pray on your own
  • Pray as a family
  • Pray in your small group
  • Pray as a church

Find out how your church can become a partner with the Rangi project.
