The Temi are a small people group living in seven villages in a valley in northwestern Tanzania. The area is bordered by the Serengeti plains, an active volcano Oldonyo Lengai, and Lake Natron, the only East African breeding ground for lesser flamingoes. In this unique environment, the Temi people thrive through ingenious use of irrigation channels to water their fields.
