Last January distribution of the 2005 Zinza Calendar began. It was a special treat for the Zinza because each month featured a Bible passage written in their language. Many have never seen their language in print before - let alone Bible verses translated into it!

You may not think having a calendar is very exciting but they sold like hot-cakes! One time we met a woman at a church on Izumacheli Island. It was her first time seeing Zinza in print and she was so proud to be able to read that she read the Bible verses on all twelve months to me. Her husband was so impressed (and surprised) that he bought a calendar for her right away!
